Diseases excess garri intake can cause

As we are apparently aware of the fact that excess of the cassava produced grain can cause lots of stuffs we don’t like. Since its one of Africa’s most versatile products in consumption, it leaves us vulnerable to many unwanted diseases. This cassava-produced-grain can be used to make eba (garri made with hot water). So also can it be cooked with cold water. Africa students has so made this garri a valuable stock to the extent that it brought out a phrase which I won’t want to say. It can be eaten with fried meat, raw cooked meat, fried fish, raw cooked fish, groundnut and many others.
So good as it is in quashing hunger, so also does it leaves us vulnerable to many diseases such as:

– Ulcer
– Blindness
– Stomach pain
– Blurry Vision
– Anaemia
– High blood pressure
– Diabetes (since its mostly mixed with sugar)
– Scratching of the skin.
– Skin rash
Note: it is not advisable to take garri in a cold weather.

Lol. You would have seen some of its effect bro. However, some garri are well sieved and produced which minimize some of this effects. Sometimes ago in school, my school was in ijebu so I bought a garri, the first day i drank this garri, i had some eye pains, the same thing the second time, this went on and on not until i discovered the garri wasnt properly made which caused ………. So the makers matter.

First of all, foods DO NOT CAUSES DISEASES bacteria, algae, virus, and fungus does. If there is any issues with Garri it is the excess carbs and sugar it contains which can lead to weight gain. Cassava does contain cyanide, but you have to soak at least 50lbs of Garri a week to even show any mild symptoms of cyanide in the body.

Like I started observing some discomfort in my stomach after taking garri. I’ve been used to eating garri quite a lot, but this time around I don’t really understand why I rush to toilet to stool liquid feaces.

I took Garri at night on an empty stomach after a long day at school. it caused severe stomach pains that lasted for hours. this was my second experience of it. “Don’t take Garri during cold nights!”
